Although the Association's field of operation has broadened with the years, its mandate is clearly as strong as ever. The offices relocated in the 1960's to the current location of 34 Scott Street proudly built with the donated products and services of the members. In 1961, to recognize the growing regional focus of the exchange, the name changed to the Niagara Peninsula Builders Exchange. By 1968, when suppliers, architects, engineers, consultants, lawyers and insurance representatives began to join as associate members, the greater diversity of the membership promoted a name change to the Niagara Construction Association (NCA). As a member of the Niagara Construction Association, members automatically receive membership with Canadian
Construction Association, who continually monitor ongoing issues affecting the construction industry. Items of concern to members are addressed in several levels including lobbying Federal and Provincial governments. The major focus of the NCA is keep on top of such issues and at all times represent the interests of their members. Working closely with the Construction Safety Association of Ontario, WSIB and the Ministry of Labour, the NCA actively promotes industry safety. Numerous Safety Courses, Programs, Seminars and Workshops are held at the NCA training facility, including WHMIS, Fall
Protection, First Aid And Propane Training. Please visit our Education Page for recent training and courses offered. With ongoing Educational Seminars and Scholarship
Awards, the Association partners with Niagara
College in a Construction Engineering Technology
program. Resumes and Educational Program information
placed on the bulletin board to assist ands
encourage young adults branching into the
construction industry. The ultimate goal of the Education Committee is to encourage the youth of today to become the skilled trade people of tomorrow. Benefits and services are plentiful for members. The plans room is spacious for viewing documents, plans, or simply working in a peaceful setting. The dissemination of bidder's list and addenda is available through faxing or electronic means. The copying facilities on premise are not only convenient but offered to members at preferential rates. The Manager

Taking Affidavits. Socially, an annual golf tournament and dinner, special interest trips varying from Skiing,
